One Year Later, or Freedom Run 2020

  Excerpt from “A Cowboy’s Prayer” ~ Badger Clark

“I know that others find You in the light
    That’s sifted down through tinted window panes,
And yet I seem to feel You near tonight
    In this dim, quiet starlight on the plains.
I thank You, Lord, that I am placed so well,
    That You have made my freedom so complete;
That I’m no slave of whistle, clock or bell,
    Nor weak-eyed prisoner of wall and street.
Just let me live my life as I’ve begun
    And give me work that’s open to the sky;
Make me a pardner of the wind and sun,
    And I won’t ask a life that’s soft or high.
Let me be easy on the man that’s down;
    Let me be square and generous with all.
I’m careless sometimes, Lord, when I’m in town,
    But never let ‘em say I’m mean or small!”

I could say that I’ve been waiting for this – this lifestyle, this never-ending road trip, this place in my life – for five years. The truth is, I’ve been waiting to take this journey my entire life. Freedom Run (as Mister and I have named it) is, in fact, my ultimate act of rebellion – certainly not against my parents, but against expectation.

What About?? – Mail Service, State Residency, and More

With any move, certain entities require notification and certain physical changes need to be made. When moving full-time into an RV, however, those changes are hardly typical and some questions and uncertainties arise. Here’s how Mister and I handled a few of those atypical circumstances.

You hope it never happens, you don’t want it to happen, but deep down you know it’s inevitable – you’ve got a leak in your rig.
